About the Role: Position: Design & Technology Teacher Location: Rotherham, South Yorkshire Contract Type: Full-Time Start Date: September 2024As a D&T Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and dynamic lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will have the opportunity to work with motivated students in a well-resourced department, helping them develop practical skills and a deep understanding of design principles. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching D&T, with the ability to cover a range of specialisms, including Product Design, Resistant Materials, Graphics, and Textiles. Key Responsibilities: Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons in Design & Technology. Foster a positive learning environment that encourages student participation and achievement. Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, providing feedback to support their development. Collaborate with colleagues to develop and share resources and best practices. Contribute to the wider school community, including extracurricular activities and events.Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. A relevant degree in Design & Technology or a related subject. Experience teaching D&T at the secondary level (KS3 & KS4). Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate students.
