Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Metal Fabricator for our client based in Washington. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in metalworking and fabrication, demonstrating proficiency in various welding techniques and the use of power and hand tools. This role is essential for producing high-quality metal components that meet specific design requirements and standards.
Working alongside a small, dedicated team of sheet metal workers/fabricators, you will be responsible for, and must have experience in:
- Fabricating jobs to an acceptable quality standard using engineering drawings, works instructions / specifications and Manufacturing Information Documents
- Fabricating bespoke products from mild/stainless steel and aluminium
- Experience of MIG and TIG welding is essential
- Self-checking and being accountable for own quality of work.
- Driving license essential as will be required to regularly work on various sites
- Forklift license would be an advantage
- Experience using general fabrication workshop equipment
Essential requirements
- Minimum of 5yrs all round sheet metalwork/fabrication, Tig/Mig welding experience.
- Ability to work individually or within a small team of sheet metal workers/fabricators, taking the lead on site. (Will be given priority for site work overtime)
- Able to read & work from customer and engineering drawings as required to complete projects to a high standard with small tolerances.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge, enabling effective troubleshooting of equipment and processes.
- Experience with power tools and hand tools commonly used in metal fabrication.
- Basic maths skills for measuring, cutting, and assembling materials precisely.
- Excellent attention to detail, ensuring high standards of workmanship are consistently met.

Hours: Monday Thursday 7.00am 4.00pm and Friday 7.00am 1.00pm
Over-time available Paid at enhanced rate
Salary: £15.00 to £16.00 per hour
