Head of Biology
to lead our Biology department, inspire students, and develop an exceptional curriculum across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5. Responsibilities : Lead and manage the Biology department, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning. Plan and deliver engaging Biology lessons for all key stages, including GCSE and A-Level. Mentor and support staff within the department, promoting professional growth. Monitor student progress and implement strategies for academic improvement. Ensure the Biology curriculum is innovative, challenging, and prepares students for future scientific endeavors. Collaborate with senior leadership to shape the vision and direction of the science faculty. About You : Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a degree in Biology or a related field. Proven experience teaching Biology at Key Stage 3, GCSE, and A-Level. Demonstrated leadership experience or significant responsibility within a science department. Excellent organizational, communication, and team leadership skills. A passion for biology education and a commitment to developing the next generation of scientists.
