This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates seeking experience in an educational setting or those looking to pursue careers in Psychology or Mental Health . Prior experience isn't required, however applicants with a Degree , Level 3 qualification , or experience working with SEN children are highly encouraged to apply.
Academics LTD is partnering with a specialist school in Maidenhead that provides tailored, high-quality care for children aged 5 to 18 with Special Educational Needs (SEN) . The school is seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Autism Specialist .
Applicants with a Psychology background are especially encourage to apply to join their team. As part of being an Autism Specialist, you will work closely with experienced SEN practitioners and psychologists, gaining valuable hands-on experience in a professional setting.
Requirements:
Understanding of Social and Emotional Mental Health (SEMH)
Helping students develop emotional regulation and social skills
Close work with external practitioners and psychologists
Keen Interest in working with children or in Special Educational Needs (SEN)
Being resilient, calm under pressure, and good with children
This role offers a fantastic pathway for anyone interested in Education , Teaching , or Mental Health careers. The Autism Specialist role will help you build essential skills through both 1:1 and group work with children facing Autism , behavioural challenges, sensory issues, and communication difficulties. Many of the pupils also have coexisting mental health needs, making this position ideal for those looking to begin a career in Mental Health .

£83 - £95 per day ( dependent upon experience, training, qualifications & client rate available )
Long-term temporary position with opportunity for permanent
Full-Time: Mon-Fri 8.30 am - 3.30 pm
