Design and Technology Teacher Location: Derby (DE24) Start Date: ASAP Contract Type: Full Time, Permanent Salary: Paid to Scale A leading technical college in the Derby area (DE24) is seeking a Design and Technology Teacher to join their team. This innovative institution provides students with a unique blend of academic and technical education from Year 9 to Year 12. We are looking for a dedicated and passionate teacher who can inspire students and help them develop essential design and technology skills. Key Responsibilities: Deliver engaging lessons in Design and Technology to students between year 9 - 12 Guide students through both theoretical and practical aspects of the curriculum Work collaboratively with colleagues Prepare students to study an academic curriculum, alongside their technical specialism Promote a positive learning environment and manage classroom behaviours effectively Support curriculum development and contribute ideas to the teamRequirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Previous experience of teaching Design & Technology/similar Strong classroom management and lesson planning skills A passion for technical education and a commitment to student success.
