About the role The role is responsible for managing and supervising lift installations and services, including borough-wide lift maintenance contracts and project work carried out by contractors. The post holder will adhere to all management and maintenance procedures to ensure compliance with the council’s design policy. Key responsibilities include monitoring and creating KPIs for lift Thorough Examination Inspections, Lift Services, and call-out documents in accordance with the Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations (LOLER). Additionally, the role involves conducting condition surveys, specifying planned maintenance and replacement works, and supporting the planned preventative maintenance programme. The post holder will manage a quality control regime to ensure the lift services contractor delivers the planned maintenance and responds to repairs in line with contractual and statutory requirements, providing monthly KPIs to demonstrate effective management. About you Essential requirements for this role include an NVQ Level 3 in Lift Engineering or equivalent qualification, along with practical experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and IT is required, as well as experience using databases such as Keystone, NPS, Service Connect, and W2. Responsibilities involve conducting inspections, servicing, and creating KPIs, including Thorough Examination Inspections (LOLER), Lift Service, and call-out documentation. The candidate should have extensive experience in repairs and/or modernisation, knowledge of safety protocols, industry standards, and a proven track record in service contract management. Familiarity with legislation such as LOLER and COPS, as well as the ability to produce condition surveys and reports, administer service agreements, contracts, schedules/specifications, and invoices, is essential. Proficient use of Microsoft Office and databases like Keystone, NPS, Service Connect, and W2 is crucial for effective task execution.
