DT Technician (Design & Technology) - Immediate Start
Location: Secondary School, Greenwich
Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term
Salary: Competitive, Dependent on Experience
Are you passionate about design and technology? Do you have a keen interest in supporting students and staff in a dynamic educational environment? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a DT Technician at a vibrant secondary school in Greenwich. This role is available immediately and is full-time with a long-term contract.
Key Responsibilities:
Supporting teaching staff in delivering engaging and practical Design & Technology lessons
Preparing, setting up, and maintaining equipment and materials for lessons, including machinery, tools, and other resources
Ensuring all equipment and tools are maintained to high safety standards
Assisting students during practical sessions, ensuring they work safely and efficiently
Managing and organising stock and resources in the department
Supporting in the maintenance of displays, classroom setups, and workshops
Ensuring the workspace is clean, safe, and compliant with health and safety regulations
Assisting with the general upkeep and organisation of the DT department
Requirements:
A passion for Design & Technology and a willingness to learn
Experience as a DT Technician or in a similar role is preferred but not essential
Strong practical skills and the ability to handle tools and machinery safely
Good organisational and time-management skills
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work well as part of a team
A DBS certificate on the update service is required
