Financial Accountant

Your new company A globally recognised travel business is looking to hire a financial accountant to their team. The vacancy has risen due to one of their financial accountants being promoted. The business has recently been acquired by a US counterpart, and is rapidly growing. Your new role Looking for a newly qualified accountant to join the Head Office Accounts team. Some of the main responsibilities of the role include : Ensuring all accounting processes are followed and improved. Ensuring any issues identified during month-end procedures are followed-up and corrected. Liaising with UK and international head office stakeholders on projects and policies impacting the financial accounts. Support month-end and year-end closing. Preparation of the annual financial statements and quarterly balance sheets. What you'll need to succeed Fully qualified accountant straight from practice (making your first move into industry). Exposure and in-depth knowledge of IFRS, particularly working knowledge of FRS102. Enthusiastic, self-motivated and results-driven. Strong communicator and confidence in partnering with stakeholders. Experience leading teams in practice, as well as consolidations, desirable but not essential.
