Projects range from large new-builds, renovations and fit-outs, to bespoke environmental designs that result in more efficient buildings.The range of work is wide covering all sectors including commercial, education, residential and health care.This role is ideal for someone who wants to develop and progress as an engineer, you will receive mentoring and support from directors who are directly involved in project delivery and management.Job Overview and Responsibilities:Working as part of a teamMechanical services design including but not limited to heating, cooling, ventilation, hot and cold water systems and above ground drainage.Preparation and development of concept, feasibility and detailed design proposals, which include specifications, drawings, calculationsThermal modelling and energy calculations using one of the following, IES or TASFully proficient in AutoCAD 2D with either some knowledge of the use of Revit or the desire to learnMS Office skills, particularly Word and ExcelGood communication skills required and be able to accompany colleagues to meetings with clients, other professional design team members and contractorsStrong technical expertise within mechanical building services design, gained working within the UK building services industry for either a consultancy or contractorKnowledge of UK design legislation and guidanceQualifications & AttributesA minimum of 2 years’ Mechanical services design experience in the UKIES or TAS software knowledgeMinimum HNC/HND level in building services or mechanical engineering or degree equivalentHigh standard of written and verbal EnglishAble to handle several ongoing projects at various stages
