Job Description: SEND Teaching Assistant Location: Surbiton, Greater London, EnglandJob Type: Contract, Full-TimePrimary Industry: Education and TrainingSalary: £450 - £480 Per weekBenefits: PAYEJob Duties: Assist in the implementation of individual education plans for students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)Support students in their learning activities both in group settings and on a one-to-one basisProvide assistance with personal care needs as requiredHelp create a supportive and inclusive learning environmentCollaborate with teachers and other professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for students Required Qualifications: Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and MathsExperience working with children or individuals with SENDUnderstanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures Education: Relevant qualification in Education or Special Educational Needs is desirableExperience: Prior experience working in a school or educational setting with SEND students, or personal experience with SEND individuals.Knowledge and Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work effectively as part of a teamPatience and empathy when working with students Preferred Qualifications: Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalentFirst Aid certification Working Conditions: Full-Time hours, Monday to FridayWork within a school environmentPotential for additional training and development opportunities All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
