Job Requirements / Description
One of my top clients who are a specialist engineering firm are currently looking for an engineer to join their team. My client specialises in the design of temporary works, deep basements, façade retentions, retaining walls, specialist structural elements. You will get involved in both geotechnical and structural design. Responsibilities: * Lead and support the creation and co-ordination of multi-disciplinary scheme designs, drawings, specifications, communications plans, site queries, technical reports and other technical output to achieve project outcomes. * Liaison with the Project Managers, Programme Manager and Design Manager * Supporting the legal compliance with Health & Safety and Environmental legislation. * Working collaboratively with internal and external customers to understand and develop project objectives/deliverables. * Managing, building and developing excellent customer relationships What they are looking for: * Degree (or equivalent) in structural or civil engineering or working towards IEng or CEng * Membership of a relevant professional institution i.e. ICE/IStructE is desirable * Liaison with the client and other stakeholders * Proficient IT skills – including experience of structural assessment and design software * UK/EEC driving licence. * CSCS * Experience of carrying out structural inspections, studies, scheme identification and assessment. * Experience of undertaking detailed design of maintenance and improvement schemes
