We’re looking for someone to join our product and design team and help us develop and create our beautiful products, with a particular focus on stationery and gifts.This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where we’re passionate about paper products and producing some of the best products available.You’ll get to develop your own ideas as well as working with our licenses across a variety of products.While we allow very occasional working from home, we prefer our team to work from the office as we’re a very collaborative and creative company - and we find that we do this better in-house.JOB DESCRIPTIONJob Title:Product Coordinator Department:Product & DesignReporting to:Creative DirectorResponsible for (subordinates):N/AJob Purpose:Design, develop and coordinate commercially viable products for the company that generate the best return on investment. This should include in-house designs as well as external via licensing. Execute design briefs to a high standard and ensure submission requests are executed accurately and on time.Duties and Responsibilities:Develop in-house designs in line with the company’s vision, ensuring that they are commercially viable, meet customer expectations and generate the best return on investment for the business. Analyse trends, customer feedback and sales data to ensure that we develop, license and print commercially viable products that have the best return on investment.Ensure that all product information is kept up to date, ensuring that key stakeholders have the correct information, in particular the Purchasing team when placing Purchase Orders. Work closely with the wholesale team to help coordinate submissions and product samples for our Key and National accounts.Coordinate and delegate tasks within the Product and Design team including artworking, liaising with suppliers and artists and marketing materials.Work closely with suppliers to ensure all products meet our expectations and time scales, including, but not limited to, retouching images, reformatting, colour matching and proofing.Follow and adhere to brand guidelines, ensuring that all products and communications are in line.To regularly review set KPI’s, prepare regular activity reports and metrics and report directly to the Line Manager.To undertake ad hoc projects as required in order to meet the needs of the business.To contribute to process and systems development, through making suggestions and recommendations to the directors, in order to assist in the growth and success of the Company.To assist colleagues and to support the Company generally, through undertaking additional duties and tasks from time to time as and when required.Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience:EssentialRelevant design qualification or proven experience.Excellent knowledge of the Abode suite including: Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.GCSE Math and English or equivalent at Grade C or higher.DesirableExperience of working in a small businessPrevious experience of artworking within a product-based industry.Knowledge and experience of using Microsoft Excel to a good standard.Skills, Abilities and Competencies:EssentialCreative and innovative.Ability to gauge if artwork is suitable for a brief / the company.Problem-solving skills.Ability to work effectively independently and as a team player.Ability to work to deadlines and project scopes.Willingness to work outside office hours as and when required.Ability to prioritise and to manage time effectively.Excellent communication skills.Excellent attention to detail and highly organised.Ability to work flexibly and to adapt to the needs of a small business.Salary £27,000-£30,000 per annum.ABOUT USFounded by Jamie Mitchell and Mark Callaby in 2011, Ohh Deer is an independent, fast-growing start-up company selling greeting cards, stationery and gifts. We also produce affordable, luxury stationery under the name Kaleido.In 2024, Ohh Deer became a Certified B Corp - this means that we meet high standards of social and environmental performance, transparency and accountability.Greeting Cards remain our main product but over the years we have diversified our offering and now make and sell other stationery and gift items. We have become firmly established within our industry selling to retailers across the world (including Sainsbury’s, Tesco, Barnes and Noble and Waterstones) and direct to customers online.We’re passionate about what we do and aim to be the leaders in our craft.
