Graduate Teaching Assistant

Are you due to finish your studies and looking for a new role in the education sector? Empowering Learning are looking for a graduate teaching assistant to work within one of our partnered SEND schools in Nottingham. The role will be full time and hours of work will be 08:30-16:00 The main duties within this role will be: Working closely across age groups with pupils who require additional support Supporting children on a 1:1 basis with autism and challenging behaviour Liaising with senior management and the school SENDCO around progress Leading academic interventions with children working below age expected levels Supporting the class teacher with the delivery of lessons The school are looking for someone who: Has spent time working in schools (placement or paid work is fine) Possesses good knowledge of the primary school curriculum Is willing to get involved in all aspects of school life Has good communication skills to liaise with staff and the pupils Can act as a positive role model for the childrenBenefits: You will receive free, up to date safeguarding training Dedicated consultant allocated to support you with any questions or concerns CV writing support £150 Referral scheme for Teachers and Teaching Assistants Access to training workshops and CPD courses to provide professional development.Empowering Learning Limited is an Equal Opportunities Employer.
