Are you an experienced Registered Manager (Children’s Home) looking for an exciting new challenge? The aim of our client is to provide direct, professional and person centre care and support for children and young people to help them live fulfilling lives, and this founding ethos is reflected in their core values. What is expected of a Registered Manager (Children’s Home), Gloucester? * To provide a high quality of standard children’s residential home. * To be the Registered Manager of the newly founded provision and be directly accountable to Ofsted. * To work in collaboration with the Responsible Individual. Provide support to the Responsible Individual, including hiring, training, and business projects * To manage, lead and support the Residential Staffing Team. You will be able to communicate the company’s goals, safety practices, concerns, policies and deadlines to the staffing team and the children and young people. * To keep Managing Director updated on team performance. Communicates concerns and policies among management and team members. * To complete Quality Assurance alongside the Responsible Individual to fall in line with the expectations on recordings and care and support needs identified. * To cover any annual leave for Residential staff which includes appointments and direct support. Other requirements for the Registered Manager (Children’s Home), Gloucester role. * To have a clear understanding of the Children’s Home Regulations 2015. * To ensure safeguarding of all children and young people, have excellent negotiation skills and an ability to handle sensitive issues. * To adhere to Company Policies and Procedures. * To participate in regular individual supervisions with the Responsible Individual. * To work co-operatively and collaboratively with staff from other statutory and voluntary agencies in developing working partnerships. * Be part of the interview panel and ensure the relevant job descriptions and interview questions are available if Business Support Officer is not available. * Ensure the training matrix is up to date and any staff with expired training to be booked on as soon as possible. Liaising with Business Support Officer in allocating the training. * Manage the Residential Staffing Team who operate from the home. * Complete Residential Staff supervisions. * Uphold Safeguarding by becoming the Designated Safeguarding Lead. * Responsible for Health and Safety * The person in charge and responsible for the day to day running of the home with 24-hour responsibility for the care of support of the children and young people. * To provide choice and improvement for the children and young people.
