We are currently seeking a Commercial Manager to join our Local Authority and Transport Business Unit for the Lincolnshire County Council contract. You will have experience of working on PFI and NEC contracts
This role is to co-ordinate, manage all contract change control and associated main contract variations. This will include reporting , monitoring, and co-ordination on Early Warnings. There will be a heavy focus on client management and internal stakeholders to ensure timely close of contract change. The candidate will form a key part of the commercial team, managing and advising on contract risk, contract matters, and contract change as well as support performance reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the delivery of the budgeted financial performance, through the accurate analysis of processes and information.
- They will lead the day-to-day commercial activities that ensures the contract meets its contractual and legal obligations.
- Responsibilities will include Profit and Loss, managing invoicing and debt, payments, preparing variations and responses to contractual challenges, interpreting the contract and sub-contractor procurement activities.
- The successful candidate will also be able to enhance the performance of the contract and help develop the client and stakeholder relationships.
Essential Qualifications/Skills
- Experience of working in a contract commercial environment within the FM Sector or Construction.
- Qualified Accountant or QS degree
- Excellent commercial awareness coupled with a strategic mind-set
- Solid knowledge of performance reporting and financial/ budgeting processes
- Good Knowledge of MS Office especially Excel and Word + other bespoke systems
