Client Local Authority in Wandsworth Job Title HR Principal Adviser Pay Rate £24.57 an hour PAYE Hours 36 hours Mon to Fri (09:00:AM - 05:00:PM Duration Initial 8 Week Contract Location HYBRID-attendance one day a week in the Wandsworth office sometimes it can be sightly more frequent than that if we have a need for an in person hearing/meeting etc but you would normally be aware of those quite far in advance Description The role is for an HR Consultancy Adviser in Adults and Public Health. I would be the line manager - we are a small, friendly, supportive team within the wider business partner team. So the appointed candidate will be predominantly based in Adults and PH but may also have the opportunity to carry out case work or restructures etc within other areas as the need is required. It can be quite a varied role really. For this role I think the top three skills /abilities are:- To have a good working knowledge of employment legislation in order to provide advice and guidance to managers on HR related matters including sickness absence, performance, capability, redundancy, change management (individual and collective), grievance and disciplinaries. To be able to coach, support, challenge and upskill managers, improving their ability to manage cases effectively. Commitment to ED&I and demonstrating model behaviours that are consistent with inclusive and participative styles.
