Supervising Social Worker - Fostering – Croydon Role:  Supervising Social Worker Location:  Croydon Team: Fostering Pay:  up to £38.50 per hour Contract: Full-Time Locum OFSTED: Good In the office: Hybrid Are you a dedicated and experienced Social Worker with a passion for fostering? Croydon Council is looking for enthusiastic professionals to join their Fostering service as Supervising Social Workers. This is a fantastic opportunity to support foster carers and make a lasting impact on the lives of children in care. Benefits: Supportive and collaborative team environment Opportunities for professional development and career progression Flexible working arrangements, including a mix of office-based and remote work A chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and foster families Role Overview: Supporting and supervising foster carers to ensure they provide high-quality care to children and young people Conducting regular visits and assessments to monitor the well-being of children in foster placements Providing training, guidance, and resources to foster carers to help them meet the needs of children in their care Working closely with social work teams and external agencies to ensure comprehensive support for both children and foster carers Participating in the matching process to find the best possible placements for children Preparing detailed reports, attending meetings, and contributing to fostering panel discussions when necessary Requirements: Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England Proven experience in fostering or a related area within children's services Strong assessment, support, and report-writing skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a focus on building positive relationships with foster carers Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage a diverse caseload A commitment to improving outcomes for children and ensuring high standards of care About Croydon Council: Croydon Council is committed to delivering high-quality services to its diverse community.
