The role is focused on helping to ensure the safe delivery of major capital works projects within the water utilities sector. The organisation has an excellent track record across health and safety and this role is critical to this continued success.Responsibilities of the Senior Health and Safety Advisor will include:Conducting audits, inspections, and accident investigations. Constantly seeking areas for improvement and development in health and safety performanceKeeping updated with key changes to legislation and ensuring the organisation remains compliantEngaging with managers, clients and external stakeholders ensuring responsibilitiesEngaging with staff and contractors on health and safety performance on a day to day basis and support the delivery of objectives and targetsThe successful Senior Health and Safety Advisor candidate will have:A NEBOSH Certificate and ideally Tech IOSH statusExcellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing prioritiesA strong technical knowledge across relevant health and safety legislation, compliance and regulationsProven experience in a similar role ideally within utilities (preferably water), or in civil engineering.This position will require an experienced Safety professional who has the relevant experience in this industry.
