Our Client are a well-established, family-run wholesale food business in Scotland, supplying high-quality products to a wide range of customers, including restaurants, retailers, and caterers. As they embark on a massive period of growth, we have a unique opportunity for an experienced and dynamic Human Resources Manager to join them and help shape the future of our business. We are committed to sustainable practices and are currently aiming for B Corp accreditation, reflecting our focus on balancing purpose and profit. Key Responsibilities * HR Strategy Development: Collaborate with senior management to create and implement HR strategies that align with our business objectives and support our journey towards B Corp accreditation. * Recruitment & Onboarding: Lead the recruitment process, ensuring we attract top talent during this period of growth, and deliver a seamless onboarding experience for new employees. * Employee Relations: Serve as a trusted advisor to staff, handling queries and resolving employee relations issues in line with our values as a family business. * Performance Management: Develop and manage performance appraisals, ensuring a focus on continuous improvement and career development for our employees. * Training & Development: Create and deliver training programs that support the development of staff, closing skills gaps and promoting engagement. * Payroll & Benefits Management: Oversee payroll processes and employee benefits, ensuring accurate administration and fostering a culture of fairness and transparency. * Workforce Planning: Support the business in workforce planning, ensuring we have the right resources in place to manage our growth and future needs. * Culture & Engagement: Lead initiatives to build and sustain a positive, inclusive workplace culture that reflects the values of a family business. * HR Reporting: Provide HR metrics and reports to senior management, supporting data-driven decision-making and the company’s broader growth objectives. Key Requirements * Experience: Minimum of 5 years of HR management experience, ideally within the food, wholesale, or FMCG sectors. * Knowledge: Strong understanding of Scottish and UK employment law, compliance standards, and HR best practices. * Leadership: Proven ability to lead and inspire a team, with experience in managing HR functions during periods of growth. * Communication: Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and act as a trusted advisor at all levels of the business. * Problem-Solving: A proactive approach to solving complex HR challenges, with a focus on finding solutions that align with both employee needs and business goals. * CIPD Qualification: CIPD of any level is highly desirable. * IT Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office and HR software systems.
