Job Title: Interim Learning Coach - Engineering Start Date: Monday, 16th September 2024 End Date: Friday, 20th December 2024 Pay: £30.00 - £34.00 per hour Location: Cheshire (Exact location provided upon application) Job Overview An experienced Engineering Tutor is required for an interim position to deliver Advanced Maths and Electronic Principles as part of the Level 3 Knowledge qualification with the Awarding Body EAL. This role is essential for supporting the Level 3 Engineering Technician standard for apprenticeships. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching one day per week (7.4 hours) at Crewe campus. The day of delivery can be flexible, provided it remains consistent each week. Key Responsibilities Deliver Advanced Maths and Electronic Principles for the Level 3 Knowledge qualification, specifically focusing on unit AMEDK3/003 Mathematics for Engineering Technicians 75 (T/615/6484). Conduct lessons that meet the standards required by the EAL Awarding Body and align with the Level 3 Engineering Technician standard for apprenticeships. Provide clear explanations and support to help students grasp complex engineering concepts and principles. Track and assess student progress, providing feedback and additional support as needed. Complete all mandatory training modules required for temporary staff at the college. Qualifications and Skills Proven experience teaching Advanced Maths and Electronic Principles within an engineering education context. Familiarity with the Level 3 Knowledge qualification and the EAL Awarding Body's requirements. Strong communication and teaching skills, with the ability to make complex topics accessible to students. Flexibility to teach one day per week, with the option to choose a consistent day that suits scheduling needs. Ability to complete mandatory training modules as required for the temporary role.
