SEN Teaching Assistant - EYFS

Your new company Hays Recruitment are proud to be working in partnership with a Runcorn-based primary school as they are looking to recruit a dedicated and reliable teaching assistant to support SEN pupils within the EYFS class. This is a long-term full-time contract with an immediate start that will lead to a permanent position for the right person. Your new role As a teaching assistant within this school, you will be supporting 5 pupils within the EYFS class that have SEN (ASD, non-verbal and delay). The pupils you will be supporting a based within a nurture room with 3 of the children being integrated into the main class. Two pupils cannot be integrated due to their mental capacity. Each pupil has allocated 1:1 support, meaning you will work alongside a team of teaching assistants as well as the class teacher to ensure that all learning is in a safe, inclusive and accessible learning environment. As these pupils have complex needs, intimate care is required.
