Ayesa is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to bolster our Process and MEICA capability in Ireland/UK and contribute to the delivery of projects in Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the Lead Process Engineer, Project Manager, CAD Technicians, and other engineering disciplines to ensure the successful delivery of water treatment and wastewater projects.

Responsibilities


  • Provide mechanical design expertise by collaborating with the Lead Process Engineer and project team.
  • Perform concept development, preliminary, and detailed MICA design for water and wastewater treatment plants.
  • Design MICA aspects for water and wastewater delivery and collection networks, including pumps, pumping stations, filters, and filtration systems.
  • Conduct research and development of new equipment and solutions.
  • Apply relevant software tools for project analysis and outcomes.
  • Ensure adherence to design standards and streamline engineering tasks.
  • Integrate within a multidisciplinary team to deliver robust design solutions.
  • Interface with civil, process, and structural engineering disciplines.
  • Manage challenging workloads effectively and adhere to Codes of Practice and Health & Safety Regulations.
  • Represent Ayesa professionally and foster positive client relationships.
  • Manage projects in compliance with Ayesa's Integrated Management System (IMS).


Qualifications


  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience in water treatment, wastewater, and industrial effluent treatment.
  • Chartered status or progressing towards Chartered status.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Environmental Engineering, ideally with a master's degree.


Skills & Knowledge:

  • Proficient in designing mechanical, instrumentation, control, and automation (MICA) systems.
  • Demonstrated ability in developing and delivering technical MICA design solutions in industrial and municipal settings.
  • Experienced in developing drawings, including equipment and plant layouts.
  • Strong technical and report-writing skills across various project stages.
  • Deep understanding of water treatment and wastewater principles.
  • Proven track record in equipment selection, design, application engineering, and operational support.
  • Ability to conduct hydraulic, energy, and mechanical calculations.
  • Innovative problem-solving skills and strong work ethic.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build effective relationships with clients and colleagues.
