c.£35,000 negotiable Basic Salary+ 33 Days Holiday A rare opportunity to join a global manufacturing company based in Newcastle Under Lyme looking for a Health and Safety Manager professional (experienced Advisor, Assistant, Officer) looking for a move up the ladder. Ideally you will have experience of working within a Manufacturing environment, with Health & Safety qualifications IOSH and or working towards NEBOSH or if you already have it even better. Able to demonstrate current Health, Safety legislation/application, with a personable approach you will enjoy and are at your best in a hands-on mix of daily shop floor inspections, identifying, influencing, implementing Health and Safety improvements and benefits. Able to lead your H&S agenda by example in addition to the administration and attention to detail required. If you are looking for a role where you will become a key member of the Management team, where you can contribute to maintain the high standards and look at ways for ongoing improvement within the business, then this could be the ideal role for you. The role is to come in and learn the business under the current manager to be up and running within the year to allow the current manager to move on within the group. The two companies you will manage the H&S for include most of the usual Manufacturing processes and hazards, Workplace Transport, Loading, Packing, Conveyors, Machine Operators and in some areas hazardous Powders with some Dusty environments, therefore a background in Manufacturing is essential for this role. This will ideally suit someone who can develop with changing environmental and Health and Safety targets and legislation.
