Responsibilities and duties Reporting to the Project Manager you will: Develop the overall design of the modular plant, considering cost, risk, and timelines. Establish and manage system specifications, ensuring all technical requirements are met. Lead technical and system reviews to ensure design and operational criteria are achieved. Analyse and manage change requests, assessing their impact on the project scope and timeline. Integrate lessons learned from past projects to improve technical solutions. Coordinate the configuration and integration of systems, ensuring smooth operation. Lead a multidisciplinary team to ensure technical consistency across project activities. Collaborate with the project control team to align costs, schedules, and quality standards. Represent the company in technical discussions with stakeholders and authorities. Plan for all project stages, from design to decommissioning, ensuring long-term project success Professional qualifications We are looking for someone with the following: A degree in process engineering, industrial engineering or mechanical engineering 10 years' experience in design engineering You will come from a heavy industrial facility i.e. plant, lab, reactors, manufacturing 5 years' experience of technical management Personal skills The Design Lead role would suit someone who is: Strong leadership and team coordination abilities. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Effective communication and stakeholder management. High attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
