STRUCTURAL DESIGN ENGINEER
EXETER, DEVON
£50,000 + BONUS + BENEFITS
Due to continued success in the region and the winning of new contracts, my client are looking to add to their impressive team with the addition of a Structural Design Engineer.
We are looking for a Design Engineer who has experience within the Structural/Civils arena. You will be working on a range of design projects, from extensions and restoration work on Castles and Churches, through to design works on residential properties worth £m's so the work will remain varied and very interesting!

THE ROLE:
- Working on a large variety of design projects using Autocad.
- Properties typically worked on are; Medieval churches in need of restoration and multi million £ coastal properties - doing both full property design and also partial design/conversion (designing a new roof etc.)
- Visiting sites where required, to ensure customers needs are clearly understand and accurate specification is produced.
- Carry out surveys and produce reports.
- Business moving more towards sustainable buildings, so you will have the opportunity to get involved with these projects.
- Provide quotations and proposals directly to customers.
THE PERSON:
BSc/BEng/MSc/MEng in civil and/or structural engineering
Minimum four years as structural design engineer IN THE UK - need to be familiar with UK regulations
Chartered structural engineer or near chartered status
Able to carry out surveys and produce reports
Working knowledge of structural timber
Experience dealing with customers directly
