We have an exciting opportunity for a Direct Sales Manager to work for a leading courier company based in Smethwick.

Salary: £45,629 + bonus

Hours: Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm

This is a hybrid position working Mondays and Fridays from home, and Tuesday to Thursday at the company offices based in Smethwick.

Main duties include:

  • First line of escalation for the direct sales team (6-12 staff)
  • Implement and coordinate new starter inductions and probation sign-off
  • Assist with the recruitment of direct sales executives
  • Identify training requirements and arrange the necessary coaching and support
  • Champion all new products and services and ensure the team have sufficient training
  • Review and sign-off new account requests
  • Review and manage performance for each individual and take the necessary action
  • Ensure the individual s are achieving the required KPI s
  • Responsible for the one-one monthly reviews of the Direct Sales team
  • Monitor and police Salesforce to ensure accuracy and compliance including contribution reports
  • Monitor the handover process and ensure compliance
  • Report on lead campaign feedback i.e. lost / down traders Direct Sales Manager
  • Responsible for holding disciplinary hearings and dealing with any HR issues including absence management
  • Resolve any payroll issues and submit payroll before cut-off
  • Review and authorise credit requests

Requirements

  • Demonstrable experience in working within a similar sales management environment.
  • Experience in supervising or managing a team, with the ability to engage, motivate and lead others.
  • Ability to thrive in a busy and fast paced environment would be preferred.
  • Strong organisational skills and high attention to detail.
  • Ability to effectively handle challenging conversations and complaints/escalations.
  • Experience of managing people through HR processes.
  • Able to analyse data, identify errors and rectify any issues
  • Able to demonstrate passion, respect, and honest qualities
