Position: PR Manager
Job location: Reading, UK (will move to London Paddington in Q4 2024)
Job Description:
- Develop high-impact launch PR and communications strategies that grow awareness of HONOR as the exciting new smart-tech brand.
- Create exceptional relationships with the UK and Ireland’s top tech media enabling them to understand HONOR’s role to provide more choice for premium technology owners.
- Leverage existing media relations & create new journalist contacts to expand coverage in technology media and adjacent categories such as photography, gaming, computing, AI, telco business, and other lifestyle media.
- Establish valuable PR and communication campaigns together with HONOR’s telco network operators (such as EE, O2, Three, Vodafone, etc), retail partners (such as Argos, Amazon, Very, etc) and ecosystem partners (such as Android, Qualcomm, etc).
- Innovate with creative new PR and communication campaigns that enable HONOR to attract attention in the media at peak selling moments such as competitor launches, seasonal events (such as holidays, back to school, Black Friday, etc).
- Lead and inspire the PR agency on a daily basis, enabling the achievement of stretching targets that position PR as a key driver of growth for the brand in the UK and Ireland.
- Manage media inquiries, interview requests and coordinate the planning/execution of media samples of new HONOR smart-tech.
- Set effective measurements for PR and communication impact, monitoring progress and performance for visibility across the business.
- Manage the PR budget including internal procurement process and reporting.
Requirements:
- Proven working experience in PR is required, preferably in the UK and Ireland.
- Proven track record designing and executing successful PR campaigns, ideally across technology, electronics and adjacent categories or those with rapid new product and innovation programs.
- Strong existing relationships with media outlets and capability establish new relationships.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills that attract attention across media and audiences, including lifestyle, consumer technology, business/corporate and retail.
- Experience integrating marketing and PR campaigns, especially into social media platforms is a plus and experience collaborating with telco network operators will be highly regarded.
- BA/MA degree in Marketing, Communications or a related discipline.
- Adaptability and responsiveness to work in a fast-paced environment as a key part of a high-performing marketing team.
- Comfortable in a multi-cultural environment as valued part of a fast-growing global business.
