We are seeking an Electrical Engineer (Lead) to play a pivotal role in driving our business forward by supporting key operational goals. In this critical position, you will oversee a small engineering team responsible for ensuring continuous process availability and meeting business objectives. Your primary duties will include performing breakdown repairs, leading preventative maintenance efforts, and promoting engineering solutions that enhance process efficiency and productivity. Salary: £40k-£45k (DOE) Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours Key Responsibilities: Effectively maintain and optimise all process and auxiliary equipment within the facility, with a focus on improving uptime and reducing costs. Lead and manage a small team of engineers, providing guidance and support in daily operations. Conduct and document maintenance and repair activities, utilising appropriate maintenance management and IT systems. Implement and drive continuous improvement processes to enhance operational efficiency. Coordinate with contractors and suppliers to ensure timely and effective maintenance solutions. Qualifications and Experience: Minimum NVQ Level 3 qualification, or equivalent, in a relevant electrical trade, ideally obtained through a recognised apprenticeship program. Proven leadership experience within a service center or manufacturing environment, with a strong background in line management and engineering disciplines. Demonstrable expertise in preventative maintenance techniques and continuous improvement processes. Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills, with the ability to work independently under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Solid electrical background with a proven track record in maintenance and fault-finding, particularly within a heavy engineering or industrial setting. Comprehensive knowledge of current health and safety regulations. Flexibility, adaptability, and a desire for ongoing learning and professional development.
