Prospero Teaching are working with an 'Outstanding' Ofsted rated school based in, Portsmouth, Hampshire seeking a dedicated Secondary Teaching Assistant for September 2024. This specialist setting caters for boys aged 11-16 with Autism alongside other Complex Needs to include SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health) needs. Contract Details: Location - Portsmouth, Hampshire Position - Learning Support Assistant Contract or position start date - ASAP/September 2024 Duration / Likely Duration - Ongoing Contract type: Temp/Perm Full time/part time - Full time Minimum rate of pay - From GBP 85.10 - GBP 98.20 Hours - 8:30 - 16.00 (32.5 hours per week) EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS Level 2 Teaching Assistant or equivalent (preferable) · GCSES: English & Maths · Minimum 1 year working with children · Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (or willingness to complete) TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST: Hold Right to Work in the UK Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application Provide two professional child related references that cover the last 2 years Prospero Teaching is able to offer the successful candidate: Free, accredited continued professional development courses including safeguarding and behaviour management In-house Training and Development Team If you would like to be considered for this role, please apply with a copy of your up to date CV.
