Job Title - Project Planner Sector - Residential Salary - up to 80,000 plus car allowance / travel / pension / health / bonus Client / Role Cobalt is working with a Global Tier one Contractor that have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Planner (Asta) to join our planning team based. The role offers combination of Production planning (Site based), Preconstruction and Building Safety. You will focus on our Residential sector, with responsibility for multiple sites.Job Purpose and Scope:You will be responsible for updating and monitoring a fully integrated programme, this is likely to include implementing change over the life cycle of the project. The role will require a Senior Planner who is methodical, pro-active and data driven whilst having the soft skills to confidently engage with all stakeholders involved with a project, including the Client and their representatives.Essential:Use of specialist planning software (Asta), training from other planning software is an optionStrong Planning experience gained in a live construction site environmentPreconstruction experienceHands-on planning mindset with determination and passion for identifying problems before they are realised to deliver the best possible outcomeAbility to think critically and methodicallyCapability to work collaboratively as part of a team as well as independentlyStrong record keeping skills and data driven attitude with project controls experienceDemonstrate knowledge of all aspects of development; design, procurement, construction (structure, architecture, services), commissioningCan quickly and clearly articulate key issues and listen and capture concerns of othersDetailed knowledge of the key features of common forms of contract entered in UKAccountabilities and key tasks:Compiling and undertaking the projects progressMaintain the programmes quality and integrity throughout the processIn-depth programme analysis and subsequent communication of the projects programmes risks and opportunities including proposing mitigating actionsHands-on planning, in conjunction with the project team, optimum working programme to meet project objectives covering, design, procurement, enabling, construction, commissioning, handover, client key datesChair and minute programme, logistic and delivery workshopsCapturing as-built progress dataCommunicating within the project team to ensure they are aware of their roles in meeting the programmeAnalyse documents from external and internal sourcesMeeting/ communicating with supply chain specialists to confirm suitable method and programme for scope given project specific constraints.Monitoring and reporting progress against programmes, suggesting mitigation actionsDemonstrate entitlement to protect business from commercial harmSummarise projects status upstream to senior management, highlighting any unresolved major risks and potential overrunsIf you feel that this is the job for you, please apply with your latest CV.Discipline(s): Construction, Engineering & DesignJob type: Permanent
