Associate Ecologist

Role: Associate Ecologist Location: Fully remote but within 3 hours' commute of Reading Salary: Up to £55,000 per annum depending on experience + company car/car allowance + Bonus Scheme Job Type: Full-time, Permanent   Do you have 8+ years' experience working in Ecology with experience in line and client management, and tendering for new business?   My client, a leading UK environmental consultancy, is looking for an Associate Ecologist to lead and help deliver ecology consultancy services and the provision of ecology support to pollution emergency response.   You will work a 35-hour week from home, with the occasional site or office visit required, therefore the ideal candidate will be based within a 3-hour commute of Reading.   Your role will involve leading a team of ecologists to deliver a field survey and reporting service, client and line management, tendering for new business, preparing and reviewing technical reports, identifying training requirements and ensuring that the Waster & Ecology team's KPIs are met.   The ideal candidate will have: ·8+ years' experience working in Ecology, ideally within an environmental consultancy ·Educated to degree level in a Biological or Environmental Sciences discipline and experience of providing ecology consultancy services ·Comprehensive technical knowledge and capability in aspects of hydro-ecology ·Experienced at writing & reviewing technical reports ·Experienced at preparing tender submissions a client fee proposal ·Chartered membership of a relevant professional body such as CIEEM ·A full, clean, UK driving licence What they offer: ·25 Days' annual leave + Bank Holidays ·Company car or car allowance ·Company pension (5% employee contribution, 4% employer contribution) ·Training and career progression opportunities ·Life assurance scheme ·Healthcare Cash Plan (includes cash payments towards dental, medical, therapeutic treatments) ·Refer a friend scheme ·Employee assistance programme (with access to GP appointments, physio appointments and mental health support) ·Discretionary performance bonus scheme Apply today and if successful, I will be in touch.
