Compliance Associate

Our client is an international independent power producer of renewable energy across the UK and the EU and is actively expanding. They are searching for a Compliance associate that can also support on ESG development. Our client is involved in large-scale solar power generation, land acquisition, development, financing, construction, power sales and asset operations. This position’s core responsibility will be to work with and support the Compliance & ESG Manager in ensuring the adherence with relevant regulatory and internal compliance obligations. The position combines work in three areas: Regulatory compliance related to physical power generation; Compliance related to corporate and internal policies; ESG The Compliance and ESG Associate will work closely with a number of business functions including Project Development, Construction and Operations teams, Commercial functions, IT and HR. The role will suit someone with an understanding and some experience in Compliance, seeking to expand their knowledge and responsibility within the environment of a growing renewable energy company. This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly expanding company, and to play a key role in developing and implementing a Compliance & ESG framework. Requirements: 3-5 years of experience in corporate compliance requirements such as GDPR, KYC, financial crime. Experience monitoring and reporting against internal company policies and procedures. Basic experience in ESG principles (from work or academia) or an interest to develop in this area Basic understanding / knowledge /experience of regulatory requirements in power markets, particularly UK. Fluency in spoken and written English.
