The Roles: IMMEDIATE START
A fantastic Social Emotional Mental Health school for ages 5-19 in Redbridge, is looking for SEN Teaching Assistants to join their expert team. The schools cater for boys and girls with mental health needs and/ or other additional special education needs that all have an educational health care plan (EHCP). They are looking for staff that are compassionate, creative and can take on a mentoring approach when providing constant support for the children.
The role would be a combination of supporting small class sizes of 5 - 6 children and 1:1 work, therefore being flexible and proactive is key. Their small class sizes ensure that all learners benefit from a consistent and supportive approach from all staff, including therapists, and are given every opportunity to thrive and develop as individuals.
This school has fantastic opportunities for professional development & continuous support from the senior leadership team and specialist colleagues. Pay can be up to £110 a day, depending on experience and if you can impress during a paid trial, which the school is more than happy to arrange to give you a real taste of how a day would look. Experience is by no means required, so this is a great opportunity if you're looking to kick start a career in special education or just develop your existing skills further.
The school's hours of this role are 8.20am - 4pm.
The ideal SEN Teaching Assistant should:
