Procurement Category Manager6 month FTCHybrid working - Southampton£50,000 - £55,000Looking for your next category manager (procurement) contract get in touch.My client is a privately owned international manufacturing and solutions group, specialising in low carbon electric heating and ventilation, precision cooling, flame and consumer appliances.Due to a recent restructure, they are looking to recruit a Category Manager on a six-month fixed-term contract to start asap.Reporting into the Procurement Director you will be responsible for leading the development, execution, and management of procurement strategies for your spend categories with regard to service, quality, cost, innovation, sustainability, governance, and risk management.You will work in a team of three other Category Managers.This is a hybrid role working three days in the office in Southampton and two days working from home, 39 hours per week.Salary £50,000 – £55,000Start date – asapTo apply you will ideally have a CIPD qualification and previous experience in category management within the manufacturing industry. You will be skilled in project management and negotiation, as well as cost and price analysis. You will have the ability to analyse and develop accurate conclusions to support category decisions based on key data.As the successful professional you will have an analytical mind with strategic ability, with proven knowledge of procurement policies and procedures.
