Company DescriptionWE NEED YOU, to support our elderly in the MORNINGS & EVENINGS, can you spare a few hours BETWEEN 07.00-12.00 or 18.00-22.00? Home Instead is looking for caring, kind, empathetic care assistants to support "Betty", who has lived in her own home for 51 years, a home where she has brought up her children, a home that has precious memories. Betty is adamant she does not want to go into a care home, which is where Home Instead can help.Betty looks forward to seeing the same care professional every day - you will become a friend and a fantastic support, a Care Professional that Betty trusts and relies on to start her day.We are different to other care providers because we don't do any visits of less than 1 hour, this gives you quality time with your client. No rushing, just doing required tasks and activities that your client would like completed.Competitive rates of pay £12.25 - £13.00 per hour with double pay on Bank Holidays.Paid Mileage and Paid Travel Time to get you to and from your client: We believe in paying our staff fairly for their time.Industry Leading Training: Our training programs have been produced to ensure you have the skills, knowledge and confidence needed to excel in your role. Introductions and shadowing before going out on your own are a must, this ensures that you have confidence in knowing what the daily routine looks like. Care Certificate: Once you have completed your extended training you will receive an industry recognised Care Certificate. Further qualifications are available after your probationary period, we believe in investing and developing our staff, giving them the opportunity to work towards a goal and furthering your career.Job Description So what is the role of a Care Professional? ''It is the most rewarding job you can have', it's not like going to work, some of the comments from our existing Care Professionals.Becoming a care assistant involves supporting the most vulnerable in your community, it involves a variety of tasks.Do you have a passion for supporting others in a caring and compassionate way?You don't have to be a gourmet chef but you must be able to help provide nutritious meals and snacks during the day.You don't have to be a qualified nurse but you must be able to assist with medication reminders, this can be an important part of your job, you will get complete training for this.We don't need you to be a personal stylist but you will assist your client to select their clothes for the day after you have helped them with personal care.Are you able to be observant and notice changes which need to be reported?Can you chat and communicate with a variety of people? You will build caring, meaningful relationships with client's, their families and healthcare professionals.Our Care assistants are always reliable, trustworthy and are excellent timekeepers.
