We are recruiting for a Chef De Partie to join our Chef Brigade at Bents! - You will run the Tapas section within Bents, where we offer our customers freshly made tapas dellights to enjoy in our served Tapas Bar in our Foodhall. - Our Chef de Partie role offers £12.90 to £13.10 per hour. - Permanent full time contract, offering annualised hours as an average of 40 hours per week. - Working alternate weekends*, no split shifts and evening shifts finish at 8pm! - Lots of development opportunities. What's the Chef De Partie role? As our Chef De Partie, you will operate in a large-scale fresh food setting, utilising local suppliers and freshly prepared produce. You will be responsible for producing high-quality, freshly made food in large quantities, crafting daily specials to serve our five food outlets that cater to thousands of customers each day, all while collaborating with a back-of-house team of 30 colleagues. The main focus of the role will be in our Tapas Restaurant however we have a variety of kitchens for you to work in and gain knowledge: Main kitchen, Deli & Prep kitchen and seasonal pop up street food stalls. The Chef De Partie position is perfect for a hardworking, disciplined individual who is a team player with abundant stamina and a friendly demeanor. You'll have at least 1 year of experience as a Chef De Partie in a comparable high-volume restaurant or similar environment. Capable of leading and mentoring a small team, as well as collaborating within a larger team. You'll have the ability to learn quick with a passion for food are vital, as cooking in a high-pressure kitchen is challenging but immensely gratifying. Other details of the Chef De Partie role: The role offers full time hours of 40 average weekly hours annualised over a 12 month period, stepping up your hours at peak (October to December) and working less in non-peak (January - March) you'll have one set day off each week, and work alternate weekends* and an evening shift (but only until 8/9pm!). *Please note, during the induction and training period of 6 months, the successful candidate will need to work every weekend having 2 weekday shifts off.
