BSL Teaching Assistant - immediate start - Newham- Primary school - 95 - 110 a day! Depending on experience

Teach360 are currently seeking a minimum level 2 BSL Teaching assistant. looking for an individual who can comfortably sign and communicate to student who are deaf. Ideal BSL teaching assistant will need to be confident, passionate, and empathetic.

About the role -BSL Teaching Assistant - Newham

  • Small classes to support staff and create a safe environment
  • As a BSL Teaching Assistant, you'll be welcomed into a warm and inclusive community.
  • Excellent training opportunities and progression pathways.
  • Working in small groups or 1:1 Supporting children with their academic studies
  • BSL Teaching assistants are required to provide motivation for children
  • Help promote independence
  • Support and liaise with the class teacher, sharing progression of the children.

Ideal BSL Teaching Assistant

  • British Sign language (BSL) qualification level 2 minimum
  • Experience working with children/young people with Special Educational Needs
  • Ability to translate BSL from hearing impaired students to non-signing students
  • Assist and support the classroom teacher daily
  • Passionate to make a positive impact on children's lives
  • Experience working in a school or school like setting
