Software Engineering Team Lead

Would you like to lead an engineering team with one of Europe's best known online marketplaces, driving impactful projects with clear impact on customer experience and company revenue? In this role, you’ll lead a talented group of engineers, leveraging a variety of technologies to develop a scalable distributed systems platform. You’ll enable data-driven decisions that optimise advertising and marketing strategies and strengthen commercial partnerships. The outcomes of your work will drive business growth whilst also presenting the customer with a more tailored individual experience. Your contributions will be crucial in shaping the future of the business and wider industry, making it more efficient and customer-centric. Key Responsibilities: - Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a culture of growth and excellence. - Architectural Collaboration: Work alongside a technical lead to shape the architecture of the platform. - Stakeholder Management: Engage with non-technical stakeholders to align on project goals and deliverables. - Product Collaboration: Partner with a product owner/manager to ensure solutions meet business needs. Your team will be working with a variety of technologies, with their software written predominantly with Java and Python and deployed to AWS. You'll have a good understanding of server side development, but experience with Java/Python isn't a must.
