Procurement Manager Location: Birmingham (Hybrid Working, 3 days in Birmingham HQ each week) Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum plus enhanced benefits Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week Our client has a new and exciting opportunity for an experienced Procurement professional to join their Finance team. This role is pivotal as they transition from OJEU to the Procurement Act 2023 and manage key procurement projects, including major contract tenders planned for Q4 2024. Your expertise will support various departments and contribute to their procurement programme. Key Responsibilities: * Lead and manage procurement projects for contracts involving works, goods, and services. * Provide expert advice on procurement best practices, including risk assessment and market analysis. * Oversee Due Diligence testing and manage the Supplier Set-up process. * Develop and implement a compliant Procurement Strategy aligned with UK regulations. * Achieve cost savings or quality improvements through effective tendering. * Monitor social value benefits in procurement and integrate findings into their Environmental Social Governance Reporting Framework. * Maintain essential procurement documentation such as the Contract Register and Sourcing Plan. * Promote best procurement practices across the organization and deliver training as needed. About You: * Proven experience in a procurement role, with a solid understanding of PCR 2015. * Knowledgeable in procurement law, particularly the Procurement Act 2023. * Experience in a similar sector would be beneficial * HND or equivalent in procurement, supply chain management, logistics, or business administration. * Membership in the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS).
