Technical Director Sutton Bridge £110k per annum plus generous bonus potential Seize the strategic opportunity you’ve been waiting for You’ve achieved success leading the technical function over your last few roles, building fantastic retailer relationships, coaching and developing technical teams and delivering technical best practice, but now you’ve hit a ceiling. So, what now? Break through that glass ceiling and become the Technical Director of a £125m produce supplier. Not only leading but creating the technical strategy across 2 sites. You don’t need to worry if you’ve not led multiple sites before as your experience of leading larger sites will make this feel like a comfortable next step. This isn’t just another technical director opportunity, it’s a brand new position within the business giving you the scope to really carve out what success looks like as you work alongside the two divisional MDs to deliver this. As the most senior technical person in the business, you’ll have spades of autonomy to build and develop strong relationships with prestigious retailers and mentor the heads of technical at each site. This also makes delivering new initiatives far simpler as there’s not metres of red tape for you to cut through to get your ideas over the line. The COO will run with ideas if they have the logic behind them, giving you freedom to achieve what you need to. The Business All food manufacturing comes with it’s complexities and produce is no different. Very much at the hands of the elements, it can be a difficult arena to champion, requiring quick decisions and pragmatic thinking. The company is a longstanding and expanding group run by experts who very much still have a strong hand in the farming community. With manufacturing sites across Cambridgeshire and satellite sites as far north as Scotland, you won’t be short of idyllic scenery. Here’s What You’ll Need To be able to succeed within this challenge, you’ll need to be an established Technical Director, Head of Technical or Technical Manager with a background of leading within large organisations. Due to the pace needed within the role, short shelf life or fresh produce experience will be preferred, but food manufacturing will be essential. With both your seniority and industry experience comes the commercial awareness needed to make effective and fast paced decisions.
