Job Title: Smoking Cessation Adviser
Location: Croydon
Term: Hybrid, Temporary role, currently for 6 months
Salary: 18.95 PAYE/ 24.43 Umbrella
Are you passionate about helping others live a smoke-free life? Our client is currently seeking a Smoking Cessation Advisor to join their team and make a positive impact on individual's health. With a strong background in smoking cessation, you will have the opportunity to provide high-quality advice and support using a hybrid model that includes face-to-face, telephone, and video appointments.
As a Smoking Cessation Adviser, your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering the NCSCT standard treatment programme and supporting clients who wish to quit using vapes as part of the national Swap to Stop Scheme.
- Managing a caseload of clients by offering initial assessments, follow-up appointments, and ensuring accurate data entry and activity reporting.
- Utilising dual therapies, motivational interviewing, and coaching approaches to help clients develop relevant strategies towards quitting.
- Conducting evidence-based behavioural support programmes and delivering both smoking cessation support groups and individual appointments, whether in-person or remotely.
- Describing the full range of pharmacological therapies available and assisting clients in selecting the most suitable NRT(s) for their needs.
- Monitoring the suitability and effectiveness of chosen products.
Our ideal candidate will have a minimum Level 2 NCSCT Smoking Cessation qualification, along with demonstrable experience delivering the 12-week standard treatment programme on a 1-1 and/or group basis. Knowledge of smoking in pregnancy, tobacco and combination therapies is highly valued.
