Job Title: Lead Maths Teacher Location: DN14 Area (Secondary School) Contract: Full Time, Permanent Start Date: ASAP About the Role: We are seeking an experienced and passionate Lead Maths Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in the DN14 area. This is a full-time, permanent role with an immediate start. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the mathematics department, ensuring high-quality teaching, and delivering outstanding results across KS3 and KS4. You will play a key role in shaping the school's maths curriculum and fostering a love for mathematics in students. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage the mathematics department, overseeing curriculum planning and delivery. Teach engaging and challenging Maths lessons to KS3 and KS4 students, ensuring excellent progress and attainment. Monitor and support the professional development of other teachers within the department. Implement strategies to raise achievement levels and promote a culture of academic excellence. Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and share best practices. Maintain strong communication with parents, students, and staff.Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant teaching qualifications. Proven experience as a Maths teacher, ideally in a leadership or management role. Strong knowledge of the Maths curriculum and experience teaching KS3 and KS4. Ability to motivate and inspire both students and colleagues. Excellent organisational and communication skills.
