About the role: We are excited to announce an opportunity for an enthusiastic Year 2 Teacher to join our vibrant primary school in Haringey, London, for a full-time maternity cover position. If you are passionate about delivering engaging lessons and fostering a love of learning, this role is for you! Starting in January 2025, you’ll be teaching until July 2025. In this position, you will be responsible for teaching a lively Year 2 class, creating a nurturing and supportive environment that helps each child achieve their full potential. You’ll follow a dynamic curriculum that balances core learning in English and Maths with a wide range of enrichment activities. Application Requirements: • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. • Experience teaching at Key Stage 1 level, ideally in Year 2. • Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum. • A passion for creating an engaging and inclusive learning environment. • Excellent communication and organisational skills. Key Responsibilities: • Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to the needs of your Year 2 students. • Track and assess student progress, identifying areas for development and celebrating successes. • Create a safe, inclusive classroom environment where every child feels supported. • Collaborate with teaching assistants and other staff to ensure the best outcomes for all students. • Participate in school events, parent-teacher meetings, and extra-curricular activities.
