Java Technical Lead

Technical Lead Opportunity Bracknell hybrid 2x a week Eames consulting have partnered with a major financial services company based in the Bracknell area. We are searching for a Full Stack Technical Lead, who will be responsible for the technical direction of the engineering department. You will be responsible for overseeing the development and deployment of scalable web applications, you will also collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions. Your expertise in Java and JavaScript will be crucial in designing, developing, and maintaining both backend and frontend components of our applications.Key Responsibilities:Provide technical guidance and expertise in Java and JavaScript.Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality and best practices.Collaborate with architects and other technical leads to design scalable solutions.Design, develop, and maintain robust backend services using Java and Spring Boot.Create dynamic and responsive frontend applications using JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, or Vue.js).Implement RESTful APIs and ensure seamless integration with frontend components.Optimize applications for maximum performance and scalability.Participate in project planning, estimation, and scheduling.Ensure timely delivery of projects by managing tasks and resources effectively.Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and define project scope.Implement automated testing strategies to ensure the reliability and stability of applications.Address and resolve technical issues and bugs in a timely manner.Maintain documentation for code, processes, and best practices.Propose and implement improvements to development processes and tools.Qualifications:Strong experience in Java, Spring Boot, and MapStruct Strong experience with Maven, JUnit, and Mockito Strong experience in JavaScript, Angular/React, ES6 & Typescript Strong experience with API developmentGood understanding of UI/UX Strong experience with GITGood experience working with design patterns Experience with containerisation e.g. Docker, Kubernetes Experience working with cloud e.g. AzureExcellent technical, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills.
