Technical Operator

Job Title: Technical Operator Location: West Bromwich Working Shift Pattern: The position works on the 5-shift system working 2 days/2 nights/4 off shift pattern. Each working shift is 12 hours. Day shifts are 06:00 – 18:00, night shifts are 18:00 – 06:00. This pattern includes weekends and most bank holidays with the exception of Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day. Every 8 week rotation there is an 18 day break with one day allocated to training. Competitive Salary: £31k ( Which includes a shift premium) Contract: Permanent Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Operator to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced process operative ideally coming from a chemical manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities: * The position will require monitoring of chemical reactions and undertaking distillations, separations, transfers, filtrations, and powder handling. * The use of vacuum systems, nitrogen and control panels will be required as will flexibility and the ability to adapt to changing processes. The plant has designated areas which work to GMP and understanding and following these principles is a job requirement. Qualifications /Experience: * You should possess at least GCSEs at grade 'C' or above (or equivalent) in Maths and English. * A relevant vocational qualification at Level 2 or above would be advantageous. * Counterbalance fork lift truck licence is required ( Valid in date licences only) * You should ideally have completed an IOSH Working Safely qualification. * You should have an excellent attitude towards health and safety and be familiar with COSHH and risk assessments If you are an experienced Technical Operator and eager to contribute your expertise then we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity
