Working closely with and reporting into the R&D Tax Manager, your role will involve:
- After complete training, you will be specialized in the different UK R&D grants and tax incentives, in charge of maximizing their benefits for innovative businesses.
- Independently leading and managing the R&D claims process for SMEs and large companies.
- Advising clients on improving the performance of their R&D strategy and Innovation management.
- Engaging with clients' senior technical and software personnel to gain a thorough grasp of the projects in question and ascertain how specific elements align with the R&D Guidelines.
- Being involved in discussions with high-profile stakeholders.
- Using existing knowledge in different ways and building on core capabilities.
- Playing a role in the strategic decision-making of FI Group.
Skills and requirements:
- Technical background: Software Development or Computer Science; for example, a BSc, MScBEng, MEng or PhD.
- A first professional experience as a consultant or in the industry is a plus. Knowledge of UK R&D tax incentives and/or R&D grants and incentives is an asset.
- Knowledge/ experience of UK Financial Sector would be helpful, but not essential.
- Experience working on software projects in a university setting, and dealing with deadlines or different tools.
- Autonomous, persistent and proactive, with a strong taste for challenge, you’re looking for a job in a diversified environment.
- Ability to manage a high workload, as the job requires providing a professional service to up to 30 clients per year through the management of the financial and technical aspects of their claims.
- Able to create good relationships with the rest of the team, as contribute to the good atmosphere we have.
- We would like you to be curious and able to step out your comfort zone.
