We are working with a prestigious US law firm that is seeking a highly motivated Compliance Team Member to join their esteemed global Conflicts & Compliance Team. This exciting role spans both the New York and London offices, offering a unique opportunity to work within a dynamic and supportive environment. As part of a busy and experienced team, you will play a crucial role in managing new client and business acceptance and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct and analyse conflict checks for new matters and pitches, ensuring adherence to compliance policies.
- Communicate effectively with fee-earners to gather necessary information and provide prompt conflict reports.
- Research and evaluate complex corporate structures to support comprehensive conflict searches.
- Implement and maintain compliance walls and adhere to sanctions procedures.
- Provide on-call coverage and assist with special projects as required.
Key Requirements
- At least 2 years experience in a compliance, legal conflicts management, or risk team, ideally within a major US or Magic Circle law firm.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong customer-focused approach.
- Ability to conduct detailed research and analysis of corporate structures and conflicts.
- Proficiency in using conflicts management platforms and related tools.
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to work under pressure while maintaining high accuracy.
