Working in partnership with a leading Multibillion turnover Retail business based in Leicestershire
Looking for a Head of Commercial Finance- EMEA to join the business, reporting into the CFO and spearheading the growth of the business within international (EMEA) markets
Leading a team of 8 business partners across a fast paced PLC remit, with good exposure to board and C suite
MUST Haves:
1) Short notice period (1 month or less)
2) International markets experience
3) HOF/FD leadership exposure within a fast paced Plc, PE backed or complex business (£500m- multibillion turnover+)
4) Multisite experience (ideally retail, FMCG or manufacturing)
5) ability to add value in a fast paced growing household brand
THE ROLE:
Business Partnering
- Provide financial insights, challenge and guide on strategic decision-making.
- Act as a trusted advisor to the C suite, offering expertise on financial matters and contributing to the overall business strategy. Key Stakeholders; Group CEO, Group Commercial Director, Marketing and IT directors and EMEA SLT members
- Partner with Divisional senior leadership to develop and drive alignment between financial goals and operational objectives.
FP&A, data and Commercial analysis
- Work with the relevant team to oversee the development of financial plans, budgets, and forecasts for the International business units.
- Partner with the Director of FP&A and Strategy lead to align on needs for analytics and reporting to support decision-making, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and scenario modelling.
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data and reports, adhering to regulatory requirements, control, compliance and accounting standards.
- Shape and deliver actional insight to support decision making.
- Work cross-functionally to develop business cases, growth plans and other proposals, operating both in the detail and strategically.
Leadership:
- Shape and lead finance teams to effectively support various business functions across the SLT.
- Provide strong leadership and mentorship to finance team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Set clear goals and expectations for team members and provide regular feedback to support their professional development.
Stakeholder Engagement and Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain successful relationships with key stakeholders across the organisation, including department heads, divisional leaders, and external partners.
- Communicate financial performance, trends, and strategic initiatives to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to drive alignment and achieve common goals across the business.
YOUR BACKGROUND
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent qualification with significant PQE
- Proven leadership track record within a large multinational fast paced environment
- International Markets experience is highly desirable and preferable
- Led, coached and developed high performing teams and created a best in class culture
ON OFFER
- £120,000-£130,000 basic, car, bonus and wider bens
- Clear progression to FD within 18 months
- Ability to progress within a growing, yet established household name
