Job Advert: Full-Time Religious Education Teacher Location: Chesterfield Start Date: January 2025 Contract Type: Fixed Term (Until July 2025) Salary: Dependent on experience We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Religious Education (RE) Teacher to join our large, thriving secondary school in Chesterfield. This full-time position begins in January 2025 and is a fixed-term contract until July 2025. The successful candidate will join an established and supportive Humanities Department, working alongside experienced colleagues in a dynamic and collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities: Teach RE to students across Key Stages 3 and 4 Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the curriculum. Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to help students achieve their best. Contribute to the wider life of the school, including attending meetings, participating in department activities, and supporting extra-curricular initiatives. Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialism in Religious Education. A commitment to fostering a positive learning environment where every student feels valued and supported. Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team. Previous experience teaching RE at secondary level is desirable but not essential.
