Structural Engineer - Nuclear

Astute's Nuclear team is partnering with an international company that operates across highly regulated sectors including Nuclear. They are looking for a Structural Engineer to provide hands-on analysis and design within the C&S department. This integral position comes with a salary of up to £65,000 depending on experience and the chance to work on a hybrid basis. Responsibilities and duties As the Structural Engineer you will: Prepare design documentation throughout the design process Develop designs to satisfy technical specifications Prepare supporting design calculations to substantiate design Contribute to design reviews Prepare of technical specifications Prepare risk assessments, technical files and other technical documentation required by safety legislation and procedures Any other duties as required Professional qualifications We are looking for someone with the following: A recognised Engineering Certificate such as HNC / HND / Degree Knowledge of the fundamentals of structures and foundations using Reinforced Concrete and Structural Steel Design experience in Reinforced Concrete and Structural Steel Knowledge and understanding of Structural steel connections and connection types Demonstrable competence gained in a design delivery position Personal skills The Structural Engineer role would suit someone who is: Strong team player Ability to work to tight deadlines Full UK driving licence and ability to travel Ability to obtain security clearance Salary and benefits of the Structural Engineer role Base salary of up to £65,000 depending on experience Career development opportunities Hybrid working INDNUC Astute Technical Recruitment Limited are acting as an employment agency in relation to this vacancy.
